SITE '99, A TRIAL BLAZER held in Colombo from the 3rd to 6th of June 1999, SITE'99 spelt success for a lion's share of the participants who were from Southern India.This trade show witnessed the active participation of 242 delegates and 103 companies,trading and corporate houses, and business establishments

SITE '99 was inagurated by His Excellency Kingsley T.Wickramarante, Hon'ble Minister of International Trade ,Commerce and Food,Sri Lanka, and was graced by His Excellency Shiv Shankar Menon,The High commisioner of India in Sri Lanka ,along with Chamber of Commerce delegations from Southern India Studies show that the show attracted over 9000 visitors and Spot Business in excess of INR 4 million was transacted during the 4 day show Further contracts worth INR 14 million were signed in the quarter following the show (June '99 - Sep '99) The above factors only goto show that SITE '99 was indeed a big success and has well and truly paved the way to a conductive business in the Indo-Lankan trade scenario
SITE 2000 THE SEQUEL

This trade show like SITE '99 will be held in the sprawling complex of the Sri Lankan Exhibition and Convention Center(SLECC), in Colombo,from the 10th through the 12th of March.Trade has been and is still an integral part of Sri Lanka's economic growth and development.Offering an excellent business ambience, Sri Lanka proves to be a pivotal point in South Asian business and trade.The country's GDP is forecast to grow by 5.3% in the year 2000.
